I certainly hope that the promised forecast is accurate. Love the cold. The dogs love it (Berners and Huskies). And it keeps most people inside and off the roads.

Meh. Here in the U.K. people panic and complain when it’s too hot (anything above 25C for an expended period of time) because many building aren’t fitted with A/C and in the winter when it snows heavily. Sure we have gritters and snow ploughs, etc... but it’s the knock on effect with trains and airports. People scream and shout complaining why we aren’t as ready for snow like they are in Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Greenland, etc... (you know, the places it snows often).
You can’t gear a country up for extreme cold and heat without massive alterations to infrastructure and raising taxes.
But hey, you can’t cure stupid.

I was lifting weights in 46C degree weather today. Glad to hear Canadians, half of whom will be clogging up my roads come winter, are afraid of being cold.

We get cold winters here too, and seriously I don’t mind them.
It’s the snow that bothers me. Takes me at least an hour to open my yard. Sometimes it daily and even it’s -30 and colder. My snowmobile suit helps make that doable
At -40 i don’t say it’s cold. I say it’s Fucken cold.

Maybe that’s a SK thing. I’m a little west of you, but up in the mountains I haven’t seen that level of moronness. Usually people on no-seasons and driving too slowly.
I sold my Focus for the winter beater you recommended earlier this summer, so I’m curious how it’ll do. Did nothing but scrape the last two winter s (city doesn’t plow side streets).

I can’t even remember what was recommended.
Out here, it’s people driving “40 km/h” who lose control and roll it on the grids. Because Saskatchewan drivers are abysmal.

its been a crazy short summer and work has not been CLOSE to what our numbers where last year. plus I haven’t really had that much time to enjoy my bikes. so that disappointing as fuck. I want more summer dam it.

Next month I get to order a new set of wheels and winter tires for the Mustang. Yea! Being in the DC area, we usually don’t get a lot of snow. It will be wet, slushy, maybe icy , with a few moderate snowfalls. I’m thinking some Michelin x-ice winter tires will get me through it. Oh yea, and setting traction control to snow and ice.
